Just because I suspect you have tips (and of course only if you have the spare time to elaborate), but any tips on coffee brewing, with the Valhalla Java or otherwise? I... generally don't have nice coffee around and I'd like to treat it right (my first instinct is french press, but I'm not sure if the grind's coarse enough).
Making good coffee properly (at least, without one of those super fancy four-figure coffee robots, where you press a button and the machine handles the entire process from scratch, including grinding the beans, for you) falls into the class of supposedly routine but actually rather complex activities of daily living that I’m ridiculously not good at. This is at its truest first thing in the morning before I’ve even had any coffee. At home I either drink tea or let someone else make the coffee; my office has a Keurig machine, for which you can get Odinforce K-cups, and I do, and they seem to do the trick just fine on assorted levels, but clearly that doesn’t help with your question. In short your google hand is as good as mine on this and possibly better.
Publishing this despite the nonzero shame coefficient in case someone with actual coffeemaking lore wants to pipe up.

coffee....
Drinking Valhalla Java in the morning is like being kissed awake by leather clad angels and affectionate Rottweiler puppies.

Has anyone tried Death Wish Coffee? Or, their other blend Valhalla Java Odinforce Blend? What did you think. Was it ridiculously potent, or just fairly strong?

What I Drank
by Death Wish Coffee Co.

Note: I have a real camera, I just prefer to use my phone because I’m lazy like that. I bet you thought I’d just review booze, eh? (No, I am not Canadian)
Looks: Dark, like those Norse legends that involve a surprising amount of horse fucking and months without sunlight. Huh, those two things might be related. Or the crow which carries Odin’s eye allowing him to see the entire world.
Nose AKA How It Smells: Earthy, like topsoil with a bit of resin. Like a... jazz cigarette. A really, really, good ... jazz cigarette. The kind that grows high in the California mountains on a tiny co-op that is officially sanctioned to do that sort of thing. Dank. Also, hints of chocolate and nutmeg.
Taste: Incredibly smooth and conspicuously absent of the acrid burned note that can come with some dark roast coffee. Bright with a bit of tobacco and woodsmoke on the finish. There’s also a fruity note that I can’t quite nail down. I rarely drink my coffee black, but I recommend that you do with this coffee.
Price: A 12 oz bag goes for 15.99 plus shipping. You can choose between whole bean or ground. Not cheap, but if you’re like me, you go through 8 oz or 10 oz of decent coffee in 2 weeks or less so, this isn’t that much more expensive. I usually drink Lavazza Crema e Gusto so it’s comparable for me.
Verdict: If you’re a seasoned strong coffee drinker who’s usual brew isn’t doing it for you anymore I’d recommend a tiny splurge and give this a go. It’s available from the company’s website and amazon.

I know this coffee was created for a kick-ass metal guitarist, but eh, I haven’t listened to metal since I was in high school. Also, caffeine makes me happy.
